Natural Remedies for Bladder Infections

There are ways for you to naturally cure your bladder infection without an antibiotic.

Having a bladder infection can be painful for both adults and children. It may sometimes be hard to determine early signs of a bladder infection however, there are a few symptoms associated with it. If it hurts to urinate and have a high fever you may have a bladder infection. If you catch it early enough you can treat a bladder infection without needing an antibiotic.

Sea Salt: Sea salt is a great natural remedy to treat bladder infections and kill the infection.

Consume Vitamin C and Acidic Foods: Acidic foods such as oranges will help kill off infections by boosting your immune system to fight off any bacteria that may be living inside of your body.

Ginger Powder With Baking Soda: Pour some ginger powder and baking soda in a warm bath and allow them to disintegrate. Soak in the bathtub for about 15 minutes. You may feel immediate relief from using these two products together.

Goldenseal Root Tea: Drinking goldenseal root tea is a great way to rid your bladder infection. Since goldenseal root has antimicrobial herbs in it, you will be able to feel better in no time.

Cranberry and Blueberry Juice: Both cranberry and blueberry juice are two drinks that you can drink to prevent and cure bladder infections. The properties that are found in these juices will prevent bacteria from attaching to the walls of your bladder. To prevent bladder infections in the future, drink at least one cup of cranberry or blueberry juice a week and invest in cranberry supplements.

Papaya: Eating a lot of papaya will help empty out your bladder which will also get rid of any infection that you may have.

Marshmallow: Although marshmallow doesn’t help to completely get rid of your bladder infection it will definitely help with any burning sensations that you may be experiencing. Simply dissolve a marshmallow in warm water and drink this delicious sugary liquid.

Water: Drink a lot of water throughout the day to clear out your system. It is recommended that you drink 8 glasses of water a day to clean up any bacteria you may have built up in your body.

Using alternative treatments to cure a bladder infection can work if you catch the infection early enough. Although, if an infection gets too serious you may need to rely on a prescription. It is important to have a back up plan if the natural remedies don’t work for you.
